Is the hotel accessible by public transport?
From Utrecht Central Station:
From Utrecht Central Station, take bus line 73 towards Maarssenbroek. After about 20 minutes, get off at the Zonnebaan bus stop.
From Maarssen station:
Take bus line 73 from Maarssen station towards Utrecht Central Station. After about 5 minutes, get off at the Zonnebaan bus stop.
The hotel is located 350 meters from the bus stop.

What payment methods are accepted?
At Carlton President, you can pay easily and securely with iDeal, debit card, or credit card (Visa, Mastercard, and American Express).
We do not accept cash or PayPal. You can choose to pay in advance by bank transfer or upon arrival.
Don't have a credit card? No problem, you can still book a room, provided you check in before 4:00 p.m.

What is the tourist tax per day, per person?
In 2026, the tourist tax will be 10% of the net room price.
This percentage is calculated on the basic room rate, excluding any extras such as breakfast or other additional services.
The tourist tax is automatically added to the reservation and can be found on the invoice or when checking out at the hotel.

What is your cancellation policy and can I still change my reservation?
If you cancel a flex rate booked directly before 12:00 p.m. on the day of arrival, we will not charge any cancellation fees.
Different conditions may apply to other rates. Changing your reservation date depends on the rate you have chosen:
refundable bookings can be changed through us, non-refundable bookings cannot.
Bookings made through third parties must be changed through that party.
The Uniform Conditions for the Hotel and Catering Industry apply to all reservations.

What are the check-in and check-out times, and can I check in earlier or check out later?
Check-in is from 2:00 p.m. and check-out is before 12:00 p.m.
Early check-in is possible based on availability for €20.
Would you like to stay longer? Then opt for a late check-out, also based on availability.

Is smoking permitted in the hotel?
No, smoking is not permitted inside the hotel.
All our rooms, balconies, and public areas are 100% smoke-free to ensure a fresh and healthy environment for all our guests.
Would you still like to smoke? Then you can use the specially designated smoking terrace outside the hotel.

Do you offer a shuttle service?
For our business guests, we offer a free shuttle service on weekdays at fixed times to:
De Wetering, Papendorp, Oudenrijn, and Maarssen train station.
Would you like to make use of this service? Please let us know in advance so that we can take your request into account and reserve a place for you.

Can I have more people stay in my room than planned?
Our room prices depend on the date, the number of people, and the room type.
Not every room is suitable for extra guests, but we are happy to help you find a solution!
We are happy to provide an extra bed for you:
- Baby bed (up to 3 years): €0
- <11 years: €19.50 per night
- From 12 years: €37.50 per night (on request)
Prefer something more spacious? The LoxtXL is suitable for 3 or 4 people as standard.

Is there a minibar in the room?
Yes, all our rooms are equipped with a minibar as standard.
The minibars in the Standard Room and Comfort Room are stocked with two bottles of cold water.
In the Deluxe room and the LoftXL, you can enjoy a fully equipped minibar with all kinds of drinks and treats free of charge.

Does Carlton President offer room service?
Yes, at Carlton President you can use our room service every day.
This means you can enjoy a meal, drink, or snack at any time of the day without leaving your room.
Our room service guarantees convenience and comfort, so you can completely relax during your stay.

Are pets allowed?
No, pets are not allowed at Carlton President.

Yes, a baby cot can be placed in the room upon request. See below for the costs of a larger extra bed.

Is breakfast included in the price?
Breakfast at Carlton President is included depending on your booked rate.
Our restaurant One24 serves an extensive breakfast buffet on weekdays from 6:30 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. and on weekends from 8:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.

Carlton President has 10 rooms, including a conference room, various training and meeting rooms, several brainstorming rooms, and private spaces.
Each room has its own atmosphere, ambiance, and price range, so there is always a space that perfectly suits your event.

Can I park at Carlton President?
Yes! We have more than 200 free parking spaces right outside the door, so you can always park easily and close by.
In addition, there are 17 charging stations available for electric cars, so visitors with electric cars can also charge their cars carefree and comfortably during their visit to our location.

Does Carlton President have a (covered) bicycle parking facility?
Yes, Utrecht is a real cycling city!
We have a number of bicycle parking spaces and a covered bicycle shed on our premises.
Unfortunately, spaces cannot be reserved.

Can I rent bicycles at Carlton President?
Discover Utrecht in a fun and active way with our (electric) bicycles!
You can rent a regular bicycle from us for:
Half-day bicycle rental €9.50
Full-day bicycle rental €17.50
Prefer a little extra convenience? Then choose an electric bicycle for €29.50 per day. This allows you to explore the city comfortably and at your own pace!

How long can I use the wellness facilities?
Our wellness facilities are free for all hotel guests. After a busy day at work, chill out in the dry sauna, Turkish steam bath, or whirlpool.
The wellness center is open seven days a week from 7:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m.

Do I need to make a reservation for dinner?
We recommend that you make a reservation in advance to ensure you have a table and can fully enjoy a relaxing lunch, dinner, or drinks in our cozy restaurant.
